2. Which personal data do we process?

We process personal data that you actively provide to us, for example by booking a trial lesson, signing up for a choir or singing lessons, or contacting us. This concerns the following data:
First and last name
Email address
Phone number
Date of birth (for students under 21, to determine the rate)
Address
Payment details (via our booking system)
Progress and notes on lessons (kept by the teacher)

3. Why do we process this data?

We process your data for the following purposes:
Performance of the agreement: in order to provide you with singing lessons or choir services (legal basis: performance of the agreement).
Communication: to contact you about your lesson, scheduling or registration (legal basis: performance of the agreement).
Invoicing and administration: for processing payments and maintaining our bookkeeping (legal basis: legal obligation).
Newsletter / marketing: to keep you informed of news, offers or events — only if you have given consent (legal basis: consent). You can unsubscribe at any time.

4. How long do we retain your data?

We do not retain your data longer than necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, unless we are required by law to keep data longer.

Student data (active students): As long as you take lessons, plus a maximum of 1 year afterwards.
Financial administration: 7 years (legal retention obligation of the Tax Authorities).
Newsletter subscribers: Until the moment you unsubscribe.
Job applications (vacancies): A maximum of 6 months after completion of the procedure, unless you give consent to keep it longer.

5. Do we share data with third parties?

We never sell your data to third parties. We may share your data with the following parties, solely for the purposes mentioned above:
Our booking system: Simplybookme
Our email provider for newsletters: Mailchimp
Google (Google Analytics / Google Tag Manager) — anonymised website statistics
Our accounting software: Moneybird
Our bookkeeper / accountant, for the financial administration
With all parties that process data on our behalf, we conclude a data processing agreement to ensure the same level of security and confidentiality.

6. Cookies

Our website uses cookies. On your first visit we ask for your consent via a cookie banner. We use the following types of cookies:
Functional cookies: necessary for the operation of the website. No consent is required for these.
Analytical cookies (Google Analytics): to track how visitors use the website. We use anonymised data for this.
